Okra Dwarf Stalk Long Green Pod
This variety, popular in the South is very productive, bearing pods 4 to 6 inches long which are used for thickening and flavoring soups. Okra is Delicious when rolled in meal and fried.
The long Green Pods should be picked before seeds develop. Pick before the pods get to fibrous. A good test is bending the tip of the pods, if they break they are still good to pick. If the pods bend over and feel tough then they may be too fibrous.
