Rutabaga American Purple Top Yellow
The standard yellow variety with purplish coloring in the upper portion which is above ground. Has a small tap root, is fine textures with a sweet mild flavor. Rutabagas are also called Swedish or Russian Turnips.
Just before severe frost, lift the roots and store in moist sand or pits for the winter.
