Thyme, Thymus vulgaris
A low growing herb that is a mainstay in French cooking, should be grown in every home garden for ornamental and border effect. Invaluable for aromatic, medicinal and flavoring purposes.
Dry for winter use, gather on a dry day when flowers on plants are fully opened. Hang leaf spray in a cool shed or room until dry. When dry, remove leaves from stems and seal in wide-mouthed bottles.
